Poachers starter “to noose”

Lately the officers of regional and inter district inspectorates have detected many cases of nooses and wire traps use during implementation of control measures.
The number of such violations has stepped up since the end of the autumn and winter hunting season. The cause can be identified with the naked eye. When the hunting season is closed, the shot may attract attention and one may be found guilty of poaching. That is why light-fingered dealers opted for another variant, which is, in their opinion, a safer one. They started to mount illicit hunting equipment.
Poachers, who use nooses, are detected and brought to justice. The officers of Stolbtzy Inter District Inspectorate on Wildlife Protection together with the director of Uzdensky ROS RGOO “BOOR” found 82 wire nooses at the territory of this hunting organisation. Some of them have even grown into the trees in the places of fastening because of long use. The footprints from the mount place pointed to the village Telyakovo. In the house of a suspect policemen found hides, meat of a roe and a white hare. The criminal offence is being investigated by the officers of Uzdensky District Office of Internal Affairs.
The officers of Bykhov Inter District Inspectorate together with the officers of Slavgorod District Office of Internal Affairs and Slavgorod ROS RGOO “BOOR” found the place, where two wild bores were killed with nooses, in the forest near the village Schalamy-2 of Slavgorod District. It was found out that the poacher was a local dweller. Two cut wild bores and a few home-made nooses were seized from him. There was inflicted harm on a large scale (120 basic units) on the user of the hunting lands. The case is being investigated by the officers of Slavgorod District Office of Internal Affairs.
Being concerned with the worsening of the situation, the State inspectorate departments have strengthened control over illicit hunting equipment. But the users of hunting lands shall also search for and eliminate nooses, pitfall traps and other illicit hunting devices and constructions more actively. It’s their direct responsibility.
